Cheyenne Mountain Intimate Wedding in Colorado Springs | Alison + Michael
Ali and Michael were one of the many couples this year that had to change their original weddings plans due to Covid, but that did NOT stop them from having the wedding of their dreams filled with love and laughter. The pair ended up switching to a Cheyenne Mountain wedding in their hometown of Colorado Springs. After saying the most beautiful vows I’ve heard all year, they all went back to Ali’s sister backyard for a intimate dinner party.
It made sense for the pair to have a Cheyenne Mountain wedding instead because of the history they both shared there. Not so much as a couple (until recently), but as kids!! They have actually known each other for most of their lives. They went to the same pre-school in Colorado Springs! Ali even found an old school photo where their two classes were standing next to each other! They were about 4 and 5 years old, not having a clue what fate would bring them down the road. While they knew of each other growing up, they weren’t in the same friend group. It wasn’t until years later when they were living in Crested Butte and Vail respectively, that they matched on a dating app! From there, it was game over.
Michael had stars in his eyes the entire wedding day. He kept yelling, “Babe! We’re married!!” and showing off his ring to everyone. They were just honestly so excited to tie the knot, even if it wasn’t there original vision of their wedding. They had immediate friends and family under market lights drinking wine and giving toasts, which was all they needed!
