Getting married in a winter wonderland is a guaranteed Hallmark card worthy photo op. Danielle and Alex had a small and intimate Beaver Creek Winter Wedding. They had their ceremony at the Interfaith Chapel with a reception at the Park Hyatt hotel at the base of the Beaver Creek ski mountain.
Beaver Creek is such a perfect location to consider getting married, especially if you are planning a winter snowy wedding! Located just west of Vail, it is the home of some EPIC skiing and snowboarding. It also has great lodging options both in Avon, Beaver Creek, and Vail! At an elevation of just over 8,000 ft, it is guaranteed to have snow up that way starting in November! If you want to have a winter wedding outside, there are a lot of beautiful snowy winter wonderland locations for photos. You can even take the gondola to the top of Beaver Creek Ski Mountain!
For Danielle and Alex, most of their guests stayed near the Hyatt Park Beaver Creek hotel, where their reception was, but some did stay near Bachelor’s Gulch. For the weather on their wedding, we were lucky enough to miss a snow storm that came through the night before. This did set us up with the perfect fresh snow look on all the evergreens, but their wedding day was sunny!
Just a 4 minute drive from their hotel, Danielle and Alex met their family at the Beaver Creek Interfaith Chapel just at the base of the ski mountain! The stone chapel is nestled between a forest of balsam trees, and is an interfaith chapel that schedules worship services for multiple religions. Before their ceremony, Danielle and Alex signed their marriage license and their ketubah in the basement with their close friends and family.
The chapel is STUNNING. Their chuppah was placed at the front of the church by a large glass window. Outside of the window was snow covered trees. It was like out of a fairytale! They walked down the aisle as two musicians from TH Entertainment serenaded them. They said their vows and they were married! For a Beaver Creek winter wedding, this little chapel was so cozy and warm.
After their ceremony, the guests were taken over to the Park Hyatt to celebrate Danielle and Alex’s marriage! Over cocktails and appetizers, the guests could look out the window over the ice rink in the village as the sun set. Guests were then welcomed into the reception room, and they cheered as Danielle and Alex were introduced as husband and wife! A few toasts were given in honor of the newlyweds.
