FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is included in your packages?

All of my photography packages come with your edited images via an online gallery, and all wedding packages include lots of wedding planning tips and assistance by me. Through the gallery, you are able to download all of your images directly to your computer! There are also great printing options from one of the best photo labs in the country. My wedding packages are done as an "a la carte" menu. You can pick and choose what you would like included in your wedding day package. You will start by choosing your hour coverage, then there are a bunch of add-on options such as an engagement session, a second shooter, and a few different albums choices.

Do I need a second shooter for my wedding?

Every wedding is different. Adding a second shooter is great for many reasons, but I will always be capable of shooting a wedding on my own. Second shooters are useful for photographing the groom getting ready, candids during cocktail hour, as well as reception detail shots while I am focusing on family portraits after the ceremony ends. I TRY to be everywhere at once, but a second shooter makes it much easier! I actually wrote on in-depth blog post about this topic which you can click below!

How many images will I receive?

On average, an 8 hour wedding may have 1,200 images delivered. Engagement sessions may have around 250-300 images. Of course, there are NO guarantees. It will depend on a few factors like hour coverage, guest count, and the sort of events during the day.

Do you travel for weddings?

YES!
If you are having a destination wedding, do not hesitate to ask about my travel experience! I have traveled all over for weddings such as to Mexico, New Orleans, Miami, Portland, Scotland, New York, and much more. I look forward to traveling to more places for shoots too! Please contact me to ask about my travel costs.

Do you have liability insurance?

Sure do! If your venue requires proof of insurance, just give me the heads up and I can provide it for them.

Do you assist in the wedding planning process?

I always try to help out in the wedding planning process when needed. Once a couple books with me, I send them a list of preferred vendors I love to work with, as well as a Wedding Guide. I work closely with my clients and their wedding coordinators to come up with a seamless timeline of the day. I do get asked a lot throughout the planning process on tips and advice when it comes to reception room lighting, placement of the sweetheart table, when and where to do the first look, etc. I've seen it all! I'd like to think I know what works best in most situations. So please feel free to ask any questions about your wedding that you may have.

Do you meet with all of your couples before their wedding?

I try! Sometimes, it isn't always feasible, especially with out of town or destination weddings. If I can, I like to try to meet up for coffee/wine, or sometimes we meet at the engagement session. (Another bonus of doing an engagement session!). If the couple hasn't booked an engagement session, and meeting up isn't an option, then the next best thing is a little Facetime date. (Yay technology!)

Have you shot at our venue before?

There is a chance I have, and also a chance I have not, BUT that is ok! If possible, I try to location scout new venues before shooting at them. I like to do this around the same time of year and time of day that we will be shooting your wedding. (So sometime I visit the venue a year before, or sometimes I visit it the week of). I like to scout the venues so I already know what spots we will be shooting in for the best light and accessibility. If for whatever reason I can not scout your venue before arriving, I try to plan to get there an hour or so before my shoot start time, to walk around the grounds and get a feel for where everything is.

When do we get our images back?

I guarantee 4-6 weeks, but honestly, I don't think it has taken me more than 2.5. My goal is to get your images back to you while the memories and excitement of the day is still fresh in your mind! My delivery time is much faster than the industry standard, and I pride myself on that!

Do you help us pose and feel comfortable in front of the camera?

Of course!! That's my job!!
I have lots of prompts and poses that I use with my couples to help make you feel comfortable. It's meant to be fun, and I use a lot of 'posed actions' so you feel that you have direction. I'm constantly talking to you from behind my camera. We get all sorts of angles, as well as soft emotional poses, as well as fun and silly ones- that way you have lots of options to choose from.

What gear do you use?

I'm a Nikon girl! Always have been. I shoot on two Nikon d850s, as well as a few different lenses. I heavily use my 35mm and my 85mm, but I also have a 24-70mm, a 50mm, and a 135mm. For night time and reception photos, I also have a few flashes.

Are there any hidden 'fees' or catches here?

Nope! Tax is already included in all packages. Everything is 'a la carte' so you can keep adding whatever you'd like to your package. For the gallery, there is NO extra fee to keep your gallery up after a certain amount of time, it never expires. You get access to your full high-res digital gallery, which comes with printing rights and downloading rights.
