I'm so glad you are here to check out some recent work. I'm a Colorado wedding photographer that shoots all around the country. The blog is filled with full wedding and portrait sessions, and includes weddings planning tips and inspiration.
If the will to drive through a snow storm is any testament to what these two mean to their family and friends, then I’d say Camille and Matt are proof of that! The day before these two were due to tie the knot, a winter snow storm hit the mountains of Colorado. When planning a wedding in Grand Lake, Colorado in the winter, you have a 50/50 chance of getting snowed out! (But hey, that’s part of the charm!)
The highway was closed to Grand Lake, and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it to their wedding! As luck would have it, the only day that whole weekend that had a clear weather window was their wedding day. I drove out to Grand Lake early in the am, and the sun was shining and it was surprisingly warm! (The multiple feet of snow was only deceiving!).
A winter Colorado mountain lodge wedding venue;
Camille and Matt rented out the Meadow View Mountain Lodge, just on the outskirts of Rocky Mountain National Park. They had an insanely beautiful view out of the grand room’s windows as they said I do. Their pup Charlie was even there to witness it! Friends and family were happy to be snowed in in such a beautiful space. They ate delicious food from Stone Creek Catering and drank hot toddy’s, and danced the night away to DJ Queen C’s music before ending the night with some fireworks. It was a magical day and these two were the icing on top! Congrats again, Camille and Matt!
