I'm so glad you are here to check out some recent work. I'm a Colorado wedding photographer that shoots all around the country. The blog is filled with full wedding and portrait sessions, and includes weddings planning tips and inspiration.
Erin and Andrew are getting married! They are just the cutest and I fell in love with them on FaceTime, and was so excited to meet them for their engagement session! They knew they wanted that quintessential “colorado mountain” vibe, especially with snowy peaks and a lake. Easy enough! Winter is a beautiful time for engagement sessions, especially around Lake Dillon, (which is actually a reservoir), where we decided would be perfect!
We stalked the weather all week, because if you are familiar with Colorado at all, the weather can change daily, and even hourly. We had a good weather window for them though; no wind, not too cold, but just snowy enough. So we decided to head out towards Frisco, and for a beautiful Lake Dillon winter engagement session!
We met up at Sapphire point, (where we actually got to witness another engagement proposal! It was so sweet!). These two fell right into a perfect groove with me in front of my camera. They were giggling and laughing and holding hands the whole time. We played in the snow a bit before heading off to another location.
We got to see another view of Lake Dillon where all of the mountain peaks were in sight. Every time I drive out that way, I tend to find a new and more beautiful view point! We ended the engagement session as the sun was setting and turning the mountains and lake blue on the other side of Lake Dillon. The winter landscapes were so incredible, but we were definitely getting a little cold! Erin and Andrew were troopers and I think they nailed it! I’m so excited for their wedding next year!!
