When looking for the perfect place to celebrate with their immediate family, Kimberly and Patrick finally found and settled on a Collective Retreats Vail wedding! Collective Retreats is a luxury outdoor hospitality brand with 5 different locations all over the world. Their services include glamping sites, wellness, gourmet meals, with a focus on sustainability and stewardship.
Their Vail location sits just on the outskirts of town, about a 30 minute drive from Vail village. They are a part of the 4 Eagle Ranch property, with a plethora of glamping tents on site for accommodations. The retreat features a mean tent where dinners and meals (and morning cowboy coffee!) is made daily, along with a bar which serves happy hour every day. There are 6 main glamping tents with their own private bathrooms, and a bunch more other tents with shared communal bathrooms as well. There are walking trails to connect all of the tents and main sites, including the communal firepit to enjoy some sunset s’mores. The land is about 1,000 acres of untouched high desert, and the ranch’s horses graze freely around the property. The views are absolutely insane, which was probably a main driving feature as to why Kimberly and Patrick wanted to get married at this venue!
They not only wanted beauty for their intimate wedding, but they wanted an experience to remember with their family members and with each other. Their guests rented out the main tents for the week, and got to enjoy all the treasures the retreat had to offer. While staying at the property, there is a yoga platform, fly fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, and of course ultimate relaxation.
For their wedding ceremony, it was recommended that they do their nuptials at the top of the hill, overlooking the entire property, the valley, and the snow capped mountains of Vail in the distance. They felt completely alone on the top of this mountain, with only the elements of the land to accompany them. (And boy, they did!) We had a heat wave in the morning, followed by crazy winds, and a little hint of a rain storm that mostly missed us.
Even with all of those elements, it was still perfect. The horses came to greet us, and the wildflowers were out to say hello as well. After the ceremony, their small group got in their cars and headed to the Four Seasons in Vail for an intimate dinner on their pool deck patio. They wined and dined as the sun went down and everyone was so incredibly happy for this couple. Love was truly in the air all day. Congrats again Kimberly and Patrick!
Planning your Collective Retreats Vail wedding;
If you’re interested in hosting your own intimate wedding or event at Collective Retreats Vail, there are a few thing to note. First off, this is not a designated wedding venue. They are a retreat that does allow events on their property though. All vendors must be brought in (such as florals, rentals, music, photography, etc.) They are accommodating in helping you with your set up, but just know that this venue is not designed for full blown wedding events, and is only best suited for smaller intimate gatherings.
