Peak Fall Foliage for a Guanella Pass Engagement | Sameeha + Jeremy
Sameeha and Jeremy really lucked out with some beautiful fall foliage and bright yellow aspens for their Guanella Pass engagement session! They brought their pup along for the ride, and we just enjoyed pulling over at whatever pit stop we thought was beautiful!
Guanella Pass is beautiful year round, especially with it’s rivers, valleys, and mountain views, but it might be it’s prettiest in late September when all of the aspens start turning gold and yellow. Our jaws kept dropping around every corner. These two made it only prettier with their cute faces and the obvious love they shared. Having their pup, Newton (whom the call “Noodle!” hehe!!), definitely made it a very fun engagement session as well.
I’ve done engagement sessions on Guanella Pass before, but found a few new spots this time around! I liked this side of the pass a lot, and even though it was peak fall foliage season (which we all know can cause the mountain trails become VERY packed), we didn’t encounter that many hikers or foliage enthusiasts! Sameeha and Jeremy wanted views, and I knew of a road that would open up to a beautiful valley which was perfect at sunset! We ended the session at the top of Guanella where the sun was setting over Mt. Bierdstat.

I love that they went barefoot for the whole session! I find having the right shoes for a photo shoot to be such a pain especially for women. It’s usually either switching out comfortable shoes for pretty ones before every photos or just wearing uncomfortable shoes the whole time. Barefoot is loads better!

That fall foliage really pops against that sunset for this Guanella Pass engagement! And whew…. a champagne spray always makes sessions like this better!

That champagne shot is amaze-balls and I love how they went barefoot the whole time!
I love these! The color of Aspens in the fall always remind me of golden delicious apples. Such a soft, beautiful setting for their engagement session.
