I'm so glad you are here to check out some recent work. I'm a Colorado wedding photographer that shoots all around the country. The blog is filled with full wedding and portrait sessions, and includes weddings planning tips and inspiration.
Piper and Jesse are getting married! I was so excited for their Moraine Park engagement session inside of Rocky Mountain National Park! They both were unfamiliar with the area, so I was happy to play tour guide. I love to do engagement session in the valley and meadow because it is compete with a stream, beautiful views of the mountains, as well as a great spot to find herds of elk!
Right when we got to the park, we were greeting with about 30 elk at the entrance. While that was exciting, as we went further into the park, we found even MORE herds of elk! There were well over 100 in the meadow with us! While the tourists were pulling over to take photos of these creatures, we only pulled over to take beautiful engagement photos in Moraine Park.
I’m totally obsessed with Piper and Jesse’s style. I was also impressed how Piper could walk around the rocky streams and fields in her stunning heels! What a champ! We danced around the stream for a bit, and then decided to head up into the park to the top of Trail Ridge Road. It was FREEZING up there, but again, they were both champs!
I know wildfires are horrible and have been ravaging through Colorado lately, but the haze from the smoke made for some insane light for us. I think that may also be why the herds of elk were hiding out in Moraine park? (Don’t ask me though, I’m definitely not knowledgable in the subject!). Either way, Moraine park is still one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions!
