I'm so glad you are here to check out some recent work. I'm a Colorado wedding photographer that shoots all around the country. The blog is filled with full wedding and portrait sessions, and includes weddings planning tips and inspiration.
Katie and Ryan are getting married! While Katie was visiting Ryan in Colorado, they wanted to do a fall mountain engagement session! It was perfect timing since it is peak fall foliage season in the mountains right now! The aspens are still turning bright gold, and all of the other bushes and greenery has also been turning into fall colors as they prepare for winter.
These two cuties will be getting married in Texas, but Ryan is currently living in Colorado. I had fun showing them my favorite mountain spots for fall colors, and was happy that they were amazing by them too. Colorado in the fall is the most magical place! The mountain air is still crisp but not completely freezing yet. I’ve also been seeing a LOT of wildlife in nature lately! While scouting for this fall mountain engagement, I even saw a giant Moose!
We went up the mountain and stopped along the way at a few river spots. Right away these two, (who claim to be “awkward in front of the camera”), warmed up to me and incredibly adorable! This is why I personally get excited when couples tell me they aren’t models and have no idea what they are doing in front of a camera, haha! Those always seem to be the ones that just giggle away and make my job easy. Katie and Ryan were no exception. I could photograph them all day!
Capturing moments like these is what makes my job so rewarding. When couples like Katie and Ryan come alive in front of the camera, it’s clear that genuine moments are always the most magical. They might have started off feeling unsure, but their playful interactions and natural chemistry made every shot a breeze. It’s these spontaneous, unguarded moments that truly shine, and they remind me why I love what I do.
The right gear to capture these special moments can make all the difference, and that’s where resources like https://bestcameralens.photography/ come in handy. With the right lens, you can enhance those candid shots and ensure every smile and giggle is perfectly preserved. For me, the excitement comes not just from photographing but from knowing that every click of the shutter is capturing something beautiful and real.
We found a few meadows with beautiful valley and mountain views, and eventually made our way to the top of the mountain, where we watched the sun set over another Colorado 14er. It was the perfect setting for their colorado mountain engagement session!
