If I could pick one word for a Beano’s Cabin wedding, it would be storybook. Especially for Anna and David’s special day, which battled the doppler app all day to find the perfect window to get an outdoor ceremony in. Spoiler alert; everything worked out!
Tucked into an on-mountain meadow at the base of Larkspur Bowl in Beaver Creek, this log hideaway is the kind of place where the getting-there is half the fun. Guests don’t just show up to a Beano’s Cabin wedding. They ride up the mountain to it by shuttle, and by the time they arrive, everyone is already in celebration mode.
The usual Colorado afternoon showers were particularly in affect the week of Anna and David’s wedding, coming in right around 3pm hard and fast. The couple got ready at their respective spots in the morning (Anna and The Residences of Bachelor Gulch, and David at a friends Airbnb), with no rain in sight. We even got up to Beano’s Cabin and were able to do some first look portraits before any drops of rain hit the ground. Of course, as luck would have it, the stormed rolled in right as guests were arriving to the venue by shuttle. They were greeted with cocktails inside at the bar, but the rain was not going to be letting up any time soon.
Anna and David had the idea to switch cocktail hour and the ceremony time. So instead of having guests see them for the first time as they walked down the aisle, they hooted and hollered at them as they entered the patio tent together for an early celebration! They danced for a good hour or so under the rain tent before a bit of sun was trying to make its way through. The whole staff got out and started wiping down chairs for an outdoor ceremony!
The couple walked down the aisle with umbrellas, but those were soon ditched as the sun really came out for them mid-vows. It was perfect. Guests loved it and everyone was happy! They then were invited inside for a 4 course meal by the amazing 5-star chefs at Beano’s Cabin. Food, drinks, and laughter were all that consumed the rest of the evening, with a fun dance floor and one very happy couple.
JUMP AHEAD TO:
ToggleBeano’s has a real story behind the name. Nearly a century ago, a Polish immigrant named Frank Bienkowski left Chicago and homesteaded in this very meadow, in the shadow of Grouse Mountain. He grew lettuce and hay, worked in a mine at the head of the valley, and became known to everyone simply as “Beano.” The restaurant opened in 1986 as a tribute to him, and there’s a replica of his original cabin next to the garden the chefs still tend each summer.
It’s a destination in the truest sense. Beano’s sits on Beaver Creek Mountain within the White River National Forest, and guests travel up by horseback or a complimentary shuttle. Inside, you get vaulted ceilings, antler chandeliers, and a stone hearth. Outside, there’s an open lawn and a wraparound deck at the foot of the mountain. Honestly, it’s a ballroom under the stars.
Here’s what I want you to understand before we dive into the details: Beano’s isn’t a blank-slate venue where you bring in everything. It’s a world-class restaurant first. Beano’s is a AAA Four Diamond restaurant and a Wine Spectator award recipient, and the food is part of the experience. Think multi-course dining, local game, and Colorado ingredients, not an afterthought buffet.
Beaver Creek is about two hours west of Denver, so it’s a true getaway for Coloradans and still easy for out-of-town guests, since Denver is a major airport hub.

The Cabin (Interior): The warm, rustic heart of the venue. High ceilings, antler chandeliers, and a stone hearth make it feel cozy in every season, and it’s especially magical for winter celebrations when snow is falling outside.
The Wraparound Deck: Perfect for cocktail hour, with mountain air and views to match. This is where a lot of guest candids happen for me, because everyone is relaxed and mingling. For evening dancing, this area is tented to keep cozy and vibey.
The Open Lawn / Meadow: Beano’s lawn is a gorgeous option for an outdoor ceremony in summer. It has a great backdrop of the ski mountain behind for a perfect aisle shot! Wildflowers surround the whole field for a more ethereal feel too.
Beano’s hosts private buy-outs for parties of roughly 20 to 150 guests, so it works for both intimate celebrations and bigger weekends.

Plan your seasons. Private events are offered in both winter (December through April) and summer (June through October). Summer means green meadows, wildflowers, and golden light. Winter means fireside warmth and a true snow-globe feel. Fall’s golden aspens are a gorgeous in-between if the dates line up.
Build in travel time. Getting guests up the mountain by shuttle takes time (and sometimes multiple rounds of shuttles), so your timeline matters. Talk through transport with your planner early.
Budget for the full picture. Beano’s Cabin weddings are part of Beaver Creek Resorts wedding venues, and a package for 90 to 150 guests is listed at around $18,000, with food and beverage minimums on top. Always confirm current numbers with the resort’s group sales team.
Hire a planner. The resort recommends (but doesn’t require) a wedding planner, and with a mountaintop logistics puzzle like this, I strongly agree.
Book your photographer early. Beano’s dates in peak summer and winter go fast, and photographers who know how the light moves through the meadow book up quickly.
Think full weekend. Beaver Creek Village is right below, with lodging, restaurants, and lots to do. Your guests will turn this into a mountain getaway, so plan a welcome party and farewell brunch.
