Dream Lake Engagement in Rocky Mountain National Park | Minji + Devin

These two joined me last minute for a little excursion up to Dream Lake for their engagement in Rocky Mountain National Park! I love taking my couples to adventurous places, and love even more when they are down for whatever! When I asked if they wanted to frolic with me through the Colorado mountains, they gave me a response of, “we are down for whatever!” So we drove through the park, seeing some elk in the distance, as the sun slowly started to hide behind the mountains. We got to the parking lot and made the trek up to the lake, stopping along the way in awe of some beautiful scenery. We lucked out with the perfect weather as well. At the end of the shoot, we obviously had to be cheeky and put on their masks for a few photos! So excited for their wedding later this year! These two were so much fun to hang with and they are so cute together! They couldn’t stop giggling the whole time, which always makes my job fun and easy. I can’t wait to shoot more engagements at Dream Lake!

For those that are curious about an engagement session at Dream Lake, a permit is required to shoot in the park. It can be purchased online very easily! Dream lake is a 1.1 mile hike uphill from the Bear Lake parking lot. Be careful on time of day, and day of the week to make sure it isn’t too crowded and you get a parking spot, as well as a less crowded hike! And always stay on the path and follow the Leave No Trace rules 🙂
