I'm so glad you are here to check out some recent work. I'm a Colorado wedding photographer that shoots all around the country. The blog is filled with full wedding and portrait sessions, and includes weddings planning tips and inspiration.
These two lovebirds flew in with their family and friends from Virginia to witness the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and to host an intimate Vista View Events wedding just outside of Rifle, Colorado. They chose this wedding venue because of it’s beauty, but also for the adventure their out-of-state guests could get to experience. Avery and Kevin’s family and friends rented a few airbnb‘s outside of Glenwood Springs, which was only 30 mins away from Vista View Events. They then all drove to the venue (which by the way, the drive there is like driving through the Irish countryside! So many herds of sheep and cows!). Their wedding was simple, with a ceremony outside on the terrace overlooking the water, some portraits with guests, and then a champagne toast that followed their first dance. Afterwards, they gang headed back to town for an intimate dinner at a local restaurant.
Vista View Events weddings are so beautiful The family owned venue takes a LOT of care into what they do and what they and provide for their couples. If you’re planning on hosting your own wedding there, here is some helpful info for you!
Weddings at Vista View Events;
First off you should know that the venue is open seasonly from May through October. These are the most popular months to get married in Colorado, as the weather is a bit better and quite frankly, more predictable!
The venue is technically in Rifle, Colorado, but I’d suggest looking into lodging for your guests in Glenwood Springs. Glenwood Springs has a bit more lodging options, as well as an adorable Main street and downtown filled with shopping, restaurants, and cafes. There are also natural hot springs!
The Venue Space
Vista View Events is a modern white barn with tall ceilings and large barn doors. The inside of the barn is super spacious, and can host up to 200 weddings guests for a seated dinner! Also inside the barn is one getting ready room. This is a great spot to get dressed or hideaway while guests arrive.
The venue is set up for a few ceremony locations. Obviously the rain option would be inside the white barn, but if you luck out with a sunny Colorado day (which is highly likely!), then there are two great options for you. One would be what Avery and Kevin did, which was have their ceremony on the terrace outside of the barn doors facing the blue reservoir scenery. The other option would be the large grassy field that belongs to the property, and is seen right when you pull up to the venue. Both spaces are gorgeous, and might just depend on the size of your wedding for what the right choice is for you.
For a Saturday Vista View Events wedding, you would expect a price tag of about $7,900. This price includes a ceremony arbor selection, farm tables, two venue assistants, cocktail tables, chairs, and more!
