Update; this wedding was featured on Together Journal!
Savannah and Bryce had such a vision for their Woodland Mosaic wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens. They knew they wanted an intimate setting for their immediate family and friends to celebrate their love. This venue, an art deco solarium, sits on the edge of the gardens, hidden away from the other guests in the park. It was the perfect spot.
Savannah and Bryce met at an OU football game “in the nosebleeds”. Their friends all started talking and these two immediately hit it off. Savannah was actually the one to ask Bryce out first, and the rest is history!
The gardens are located right in the heart of Denver, Colorado. Right in the heart of the Botanic Gardens sits this adorable greenhouse like wedding venue. This tiny green building, nestled amongst trees and retaining wall gardens, is technically a small solarium. Its glass panes make it a fun environment to be inside, while still feeling connected to the romantic garden like feeling of outside.
The vibe is romantic and classic with a vintage and art deco structure, but major garden-party vibes. It’s central location with Denver makes it a great spot for out-of-towners. It’s nestled right next to the Cherry Creek neighborhood, where there are a lot of beautiful and upscale hotel and lodging options, as well as shopping and restaurants.
A seated ceremony indoors can fit 50 guests. A seated indoor reception can fit 40. Personally I think it would be best just under that. I feel that 20-30 would be most comfortable.
If you’re having a Woodland Mosaic wedding, the closest area for lodging would be in Cherry Creek, which is an upscale shopping district! Filled with lots of boutiques and restaurants, some great options for hotels here would be Halcyon Hotel, the Moxy Hotel, or the Jacquard Hotel.
What I love about this venue is that it is small enough that you’re not going to break the bank by bringing in your own outside vendors such as rentals for chairs and linens. But if needed, they can provide tables and chairs for you. The Botanic Gardens will also provide complimentary admission for your guests. (They get to roam around the gardens and check out the beautiful flowers for themselves!). There is also a ride-sharing drop off point, and well as for vendors. They will also allow you to use their grounds for photos. We scouted some EPIC garden-vibe spots nearby the solarium for us to use! Another bonus for this venue is that you can bring in your own alcohol!
Service dogs are allowed. You can bring in your own alcohol, but it must be served by one of the allowed catering staff.
To have a Woodland Mosaic Denver Botanic Gardens wedding, a one hour site fee will cost $1,800. If you’d like to rent it for a half day usage, the price is $2,000, and a full day usage is $3,000. There is also a $300 service set-up fee. *Please reach out to the Gardens directly for a more accurate and up to date price range.*
